Bold Journey – Meet Gary Keith

We recently connected with Gary Keith and have shared our conversation below.

Gary, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I’ve always had a strong work ethic, and I believe it was shaped during some of the most challenging times in my early life. There was a real sense of financial uncertainty, and I knew I had to push forward no matter what. I started out as a construction laborer, and without a car, I would wake up before dawn and find a way to travel 25 miles to work—sometimes hitchhiking. I was never late.

Those experiences didn’t just teach me how to work hard—they taught me resilience, determination, and the importance of showing up even when it’s difficult. That mindset stayed with me and became the foundation for everything I’ve accomplished since.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

What I do is centered around mobility equipment ,hospital beds , bathroom safety, rollators, walkers, wheelchairs, scooters, and power chairs. At the core of it, I help people stay independent or get that independence back when life takes it away. That’s the mission.

built it from the ground up. My work ethic comes from real life. and learned early on that if you want something done right, you show up and you put in the work. That mindset never left me.

One thing that makes what I do different is that I handle everything myself—repairs, deliveries, setup. That’s intentional. I don’t hand it off, because I want things done the way I believe they should be done—right, the first time. But more than that, it gives me the chance to meet my customers face-to-face. I’m not just a name behind a business. I see people in their homes, hear their stories, and understand exactly what they’re dealing with.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three things that had the biggest impact on my journey are discipline, focus, and integrity in how I treat customers.

First is discipline—just keeping your head down and doing the work no matter what. There were a lot of long days early on, and nobody was watching or giving credit. You have to be able to push through that without needing validation.

Second is focus. I’ve never spent time worrying about competitors or what others are doing. That’s a distraction. I stayed focused on building my own lane, improving what I offer, and getting better every day. When you focus on yourself and your work, you naturally separate over time.

Third is putting the customer first—every time. That means offering the best quality products you can find, standing behind what you sell, and doing right by people even when it’s not the easiest or most profitable decision. I’ve always believed in quality over volume. I’d rather do fewer deals and know they’re right than chase numbers and cut corners.
